Eat & Drink

“And the food? Suffice to say, the flavours are as fresh as the staff are dishy.”

Our lunch and supper menus are deeply rooted in everyone’s favourite British classics, using the best produce we can find. Tuck into Pork Belly Confit or Roasted Guinea Fowl Breast or try one of our legendary Sunday roasts which are worth the trip just for the roast alone.

Here’s the low down on a few of our favourite things to do nearby:

The picture perfect village of Ewen is the perfect spot to explore the surrounding Cotswolds, stopping by at The Wild Duck for a pie and a pint or a Sunday roast. Nearby there is the Roman town of Cirencester with its local butchers, fish shop and Friday market (which is one of the oldest in the country), or you can treat your four-legged friend to a hike in the fields.

A little further afield, these are some of our favourites:

Fun family things to do: Antiques shopping in Tetbury, Westonbirt, Cheltenham Horse Races, explore Cotswold Water Park’s 150 lakes , Adam Henson’s Cotswolds Farm Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Batsford Arboretum

Shooting & Game Sports: Ian Coley Sporting (Cheltenham), Gloucester Rugby Club, Longdole Polo Club

Gardens: Sudeley Castle & Gardens,  Stanway House & Fountain, Chastleton House & Gardens, Hidcote Manor Garden, Blenheim Palace
